The Center for Integrative Studies in Social Science (CIS/SS) was created in 1989 to develop and administer instructional programs that emphasize the overlapping boundaries of the social sciences and related disciplines.
The Center has administrative responsibility for the integrative studies core curriculum in social science (ISS), the undergraduate majors in Interdisciplinary Studies (IDS) and Global and Area Studies (GLAS) and the International Development Specialization.
